Friends of the Townsend Public Library

Mission

Friends of the Townsend Public Library was established "to promote knowledge, stimulate interest and encourage participation in the functions, services and needs of the library."

History

The Friends of the Townsend Public Library, through volunteer help and fund-raising efforts, has been able to support the improvement and expansion of library resources and services since 1967. 

Membership

Your support is important to our success.  With your membership, the Friends of the Library can continue to introduce and sustain programs for the community.  

Your dues provide:

  • SAT courses
  • Creative Writing Courses
  • Children's and Adult Programs
  • Summer Reading Programs
  • And so much more!

If you are interested in becoming a Friend, please pick up a form at the circulation desk or on the Friends of the Library Book Sale wall at the library.

Volunteering

If you are interested in volunteering at the library shelving, checking shelves (Adopt-a-Shelf), or assisting with programs please pick up a volunteer application form at the library. 

Meetings

Please join us for our next meeting on Wednesday, August 25, 2010.  We meet at the library from 7:30 to 9:00 pm.
