Friends of the Townsend Public Library

  • Friends of the Townsend Public Library was established 'to promote knowledge, stimulate interest and encourage participation in the functions, services and needs of the library.'

  • History:
  • The Friends of the Townsend Public Library, through volunteer help and fund-raising efforts, has been able to support the improvement and expansion of library resources and services since 1967.

  • Membership:
  • Your support is important to our success.  With your membership, the Friends of the Library can continue to introduce and sustain programs for the community.

  • *Creative Writing Courses
  • *Children's and Adult Programs
  • *Summer Reading Programs
  • *And so much more!
  • If you are interested in becoming a Friend, please pick up a form at the circulation desk or on the Friends of the Library Book Sale wall at the library.

  • Volunteering:
  • If you are interested in volunteering at the library shelving, checking shelves (Adopt-a-Shelf), or assisting with programs please pick up a volunteer application form at the library.

  • Meetings:
  • Please join us for our monthly meeting held on the second Wednesday of every month.  We meet at the library from 7:30 to 9:00 pm.
