Looking for advice on whether a book, movie, game, or website is appropriate for your child or teen? Confused by rating systems? One of my favorite resources for information about these topics is Common Sense Media. One thing I really like about this site is that it suggests ways to explore, discuss, and understand media, even if there are elements that are not squeaky clean. It’s a great resource, enjoy!

Lego Club Tuesday, May 28 6:30 - 7:30PM
If you love Lego's this is the event for you! Come freeplay with our thousands of Legos, build a creation and display it at the library for everyone to see. Ages 5+. New friends always welcome. We have NEW LEGO sets from the Lego Friends series, featuring horses, animals, and other awesome new peices. Thank you to the Friends of the Townsend Library for purchasing these new additions!
Weekly Story Times for Young Children
Jump Start Storytime Tuesdays at 11AM A new storytime especially for kids aged 2-4. Each week we will explore a new theme through books, songs, rhymes, and activities. There will be time to play and socialize too!
Books and Blocks Storytime Fridays 10:30AM Ages 1-3. Join Miss Karen for stories then play with blocks! Great for building fine motor skills and pre-literacy. Parents must remain with their children throughout the program.
No registration required for these events.
